California resident Scott Hounsell has been involved with politics and political consulting, in addition to working as an executive director for Educate and Empower Kids, based in New Mexico. In 2018, Scott Hounsell took time out to earn an MBA and a certificate in global business from George Washington University (GWU).
GWU’s MBA program not only focuses on imparting core business principles, it also places emphasis on students understanding business from a global perspective. It has established a platform for helping students better understand international business and its relationship to economic trends through relationships with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the US State Department. The MBA program prepares students for the complexities of international business beyond book knowledge. It also integrates principles related to ethical leadership, global perspective, and corporate citizenship.
Due to its location in Washington, DC, students are in the hub where non-governmental organizations, the public sector, and the private sector interact. This intersection provides students with opportunities to meet global leaders and business executives face-to-face. GWU’s MBA program also offers its culturally diverse student body both short-term and consulting abroad programs to help build their business acumen.
